  2. Select option 0(Fuliza Mpesa to opt in)

How to use Fuliza M-PESA.

All you need to do is transact normally on M-PESA and if you have insufficient funds, Fuliza M-PESA will cover the shortfall.You can use Fuliza for the following Mpesa options:

  • Lipa na Mpesa – Buy goods and Paybill options. This means that you can also buy airtime for Telkom and Airtel through Fuliza using Paybill option. You can also Fuliza Airtime to your Safaricom line.
  • Send money option. This means that you can Fuliza to another number.

Here is how it works. Whenever you are doing an Mpesa transaction and you don’t have enough funds in your Mpesa account, you will get a prompt requesting you to “Fuliza” so that you can finish your transaction smoothly.

Say you are at a supermarket and your shopping is worth Kshs 5,000 and your Mpesa balance is Kshs 4,000, you can “Fuliza” the remaining Kshs 1,000 and finish your shopping without any worries.

There are charges involved every time you use Fuliza Mpesa and the charges vary depending on the amount you “Fuliza” and the Time it takes you to pay back your Fuliza overdraft.

How to pay Fuliza Mpesa overdraft.

To pay back your Fuliza overdraft, deposit money into your Mpesa account and Fuliza service will automatically deduct the Fuliza amount from your Mpesa account.

When you receive any money into your Mpesa account, Fuliza will automatically deduct their money and you will receive an SMS confirmation that your Fuliza is now fully settled and you can use it again.

If you don’t pay your Fuliza Mpesa overdraft after 30days(1 month), you will have defaulted and you will no longer be able to access Fuliza service.
